Yesterday was a day for the hardest of the hardcores. With low 50 degree temps and wind speeds around 20 mph many decided to stay at home.
But there was some bright spots - Marshall Gehrke won his class again. This latest win leaves him needing only 3 more until he turns expert.
And with sparse girl competition, Stephani Morin did against the boys and then proceeded to give them a lesson in winning.
Join us next week when Waukegan BMX hosts 2 days of racing. Friday night (9/28/12) will be a single point race while Saturday (9/29/12) we will be hosting the Bob Warnicke Scholarship double points race.
All this leads up to our season closer on 10/13/12. With points being very close in our very first Track team series, the Zion Cyclery/State 30 team is running out of opportunities to catch The Nationals which are currently in first place.
